Integrated design is about achieving harmony between visual appearance and programming i.e. between graphic design and programming logic.

To use an analogy, think of a website as a head.

The brain controls the eyes, ears, nose and mouth, as well as interpreting sights, sounds, smells and tastes. In the same way, a website’s programming controls and interprets its visual appearance.
